Vcarve Pro Angled Staircase Panels

Staircase Panel Measurements Why create Vcarve Pro Angled Staircase Panels in the first place? What use are they? How will they fit my lifestyle? Are they difficult to install? These where all the questions I was asking myself before undertaking this project. i knew these panels would add a lot of life to my plain old staircase. Vcarve Pro Designing Arch Trim

What’s an arch ? In this article we’ll be discussing Vcarve Pro Designing Arch Trim. An arch is a curve where the ends are down and the middle is facing upwards. Cad software will aid in the layout and design of the arch. This can be done freehand or with the use of a router jig. Architectural Uses Of all the architecture man’s ever created this is my favorite. Arched stained glass in particular. Arched doorways, windows and structural designs are ever present. Churches,Cathedrals, Museums,Castles, Universities and many others. Cost makes these prohibited in today’s construction. Arched doors and windows are twice the normal price of their rectangular counterparts. What is an arc ? An arc is the portion of the circumference of a circle. It can also be the portion of another shape like an ellipse. Arcs measuring more than 180 degrees are major arcs. Arcs less than 180 degrees are minor…

Vcarve Pro Scaling & Adjusting Vector Images

What is Scaling In CAD ? Vcarve Pro Scaling & Adjusting Vector Images is done with in CAD software. Scaling a vector image is the process that enlarges or shrinks images equally in all directions. The process of uniform scaling keeps the vector image similar to the original. Uniform scaling is a geometric formula that separates each scale factor for an axis direction. Those axis’s are your machines X, Y, Z. Why Scale Images ? The reason for scaling imagery in CAD is to keep our designs symmetrical.  Symmetries important in all artistic designs. Symmetry is the harmonious balance in relationship to other objects. Be it you’re a painter, sketch artist, graphic design specialist or CAD programmer. When images engraved aren’t scaled correctly, it isn’t symmetrical with the rest of the scene. Vcarve Pro Scaling & Adjusting Vector Images We’ll discuss a scene that was built in a previous Blog. VCarve Pro fireplace mantel design…

VCarve Pro Fireplace Mantel Design

What are fireplace Mantels ? In this article we’ll be discussing VCarve Pro Fireplace Mantel Design. A fireplace mantel is the decorative framework around the fireplace itself. Also known as a mantelpiece or chimney piece. It’s a focal point that’s very artistic by design. With modern heating systems today these are not as popular due to their expense. Large intricate engraved mantles cost more than the fireplace itself. Safety & Codes I can’t stress this topic enough. Make the proper phone calls and inquires to the correct individuals. Your local building codes take precedence over any national code. Contact your town’s local building inspector for the rules. Speak with a member of the fire department and/or contact the Fire Marshal. A customer service representative at a stove shop will know the correct procedures and contacts. The procedures being the clearances required to install your fireplace surround safely. Fireplace Mantel & Surrounds I’m only discussing the fabrication of…
